Care4Cats Ibiza 🇪🇸For over 26 years, Care4Cats Ibiza has been dedicated to improving the lives of the island’s stray cats. Through their TNR programme (Trap, Neuter, Return), they help prevent overpopulation while providing medical care to sick and injured cats and finding loving homes for vulnerable kittens.Thanks to donations and the dedication of their volunteers, around 35,000 cats have been spayed or neutered since 2000. Yet the need remains great, with limited government support and very few shelters available for cats on the island.Our project leader, Sandra Gravemaker, is also a dedicated volunteer. Whenever she visits Ibiza, she spends much of her time at the shelter, caring for the cats and helping the team make a difference.We are proud to support Care4Cats Ibiza and the important work they do every day. A special thank you goes to the transport company Dijkstra Transport Heemskerk helping make this project possible. Every quarter, they generously transport our donated supplies to Ibiza completely free of charge. This incredible support ensures that our donations can reach the cats who need them most. ❤️Together, we hope to give more cats the care, safety and love they deserve.
𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 🛺🐾Sai Heng Lau recently paid a visit to ELT (Every Living Thing) in Dar, and what better way to arrive than by tuk-tuk! After moving to their new location, both the new and old residents are slowly starting to settle in and feel at home. A little time, a lot of TLC, and plenty of cuddles later… it’s clear that these animals are feeling more comfortable in their new surroundings. Zo’n 13,5 jaar geleden vond Annelies (een van de oprichters van Wings for Animals) vlak bij Caïro een piepkleine puppy, helemaal alleen, ergens tussen de woestijn en een dorp.Hij was er slecht aan toe. In zijn ontlasting zaten dikke wormen en voor zo’n klein puppy is zo’n zware wormbesmetting levensgevaarlijk. Zonder hulp was hij ten dode opgeschreven.Diezelfde avond moest Annelies terugvliegen naar Nederland. Kenzy werd daarom ondergebracht bij een lokale shelter, die zó overvol zat dat er eigenlijk geen plek voor hem was. Met één belofte: vang hem alsjeblieft tijdelijk op, ik zorg dat hij naar Nederland komt.En die belofte werd gehouden. Kenzy kwam naar Nederland en vond bij Ruud en Ina zijn gouden mandje. Daar heeft hij ruim dertien jaar een prachtig leven gehad en is werkelijk alles voor hem gedaan.Kenzy werd gered nog vóór Wings for Animals officieel bestond en was, samen met een aantal andere dieren, onderdeel van het prille begin van onze stichting. Door dieren zoals Kenzy groeide het idee om samen met collega’s iets te gaan doen. Want als we onze krachten bundelden, konden we zoveel meer dieren helpen. ✈️🐾Het is bijzonder hoe Kenzy zijn hele leven met Wings for Animals verbonden is gebleven. Annelies vond hem, Ruud en Ina gaven hem zijn gouden mandje en bleven beiden betrokken bij onze stichting. En gisteren, ruim dertien jaar later, heeft onze ambassadeur en dierenarts Piet Hellemans Veterinair Consultant Kenzy liefdevol en in alle rust laten inslapen. Zijn oude lijfje was op.Van een doodziek puppy’tje bij Caïro naar een ontzettend geliefde hond met ruim dertien prachtige jaren.Dag lieve Kenzy. ❤️🌈We gaan je missen #kenzy
